If you like spending your working day with competent people who respect and encourage one another's strong work ethic, and enjoy a lead role in a great crew, this may be a good fit. Responsibilities include performing a variety of climb and ground person duties such as chipping, cabling, rigging, and using hand and power tools, operating loaders, chippers, and driving large chip trucks, dump trucks with trailers. CDL strongly preferred. You must have strong communication skills, the ability to coordinate responsibilities and delegate tasks, and be physically capable of performing strenuous tree removal services at elevated heights and in all weather conditions. We are looking for strong leaders who are efficient and safe. Pay is determined by certifications, experience, and abilities. Location King County, WA; Pierce County, WA Tree Climber/Crew Lead Responsibilities Drive our collection of trucks, trailers, chippers to and from the job site. Safely use ropes and harnesses to climb trees; operate chainsaws Punctuality. Our usual schedule is 7 am, M-F Follow all job site safety procedures and policies Assess the assigned job in order to coordinate the tasks of the team, generally a 3-5 man crew. Tree Climber/Crew Lead Qualifications Experience climbing Naturally falls into a leadership role Valid driver's license required; commercial driver's license (CDL) strongly preferred ISA certification strongly preferred Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) Comfortable working at heights and all weather conditions Strong communication and teamwork ethic required Must be reliable. Tardiness and no shows are a no go.
