Job Description General Summary Supports Distribution department by giving work floor direction and acting as process and mechanical expert for the area. Principal Duties and Accountabilities (•Essential Functions)
Production:
Gives work direction on the floor, but is not responsible for discipline. Process and mechanical expert for the area, has the ability to learn to prepare and teach all the processes in the department. Knowledge of and monitors process flow. Does material handling and assists with processes as needed by the area, trouble shoots technical problems and product quality issues, backup for distribution coordinators. Trains distribution coordinators and assists in other training. Does tasks necessary to keep department running productively.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
verifies and maintains physical inventories, ERP inventory systems, daily order checks, and supplies. Communicates with departments on adequate flow of materials and product to meet customer demand.
Safety & Housekeeping:
addresses unsafe work practices; UEOC, monitors clean ups.
Monitors and helps develop department and company training and other materials used to run the department. Ensures that new employees to the department are properly trained to all aspects of the position. Follow up on any changes to Standard Works, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.
Technical Assistance:
Serves on technical problem solving task forces as assigned. Totally involved in new processes going into the department from the ground floor.
Quality:
Monitors hold or special process product. Reference for quality issues.
Production Reporting/Payroll:
backup but does not have approval capability

Transport:
Backup for on the road transport of product between buildings. Assist moving trailers from dock and other locations around the facility. •Performs any other duties as assigned. •

Educational Skills and Experience High School diploma, G.E.D. certificate or recognized equivalent Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to perform the following: Communicate effectively with other team members and supervision Read and comprehend process instructions Record pertinent process information as required Has a fork truck license (current or in past) Must be able to learn to drive all types of forklifts safely within 30 days. Must be able to learn (Shipping software) within 90 days. The individual must possess strong interpersonal skills; have a professional and positive attitude, excellent organizational skills and a good work ethic. Must also be able to demonstrate training ability, be self-starting and be able to work effectively on assigned tasks with minimal supervision. No documented disciplinary action at the warning level or above within the last 12 months. A good attendance and safety record is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; extreme heat; explosives and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud and requires hearing protection to be worn in areas as required. Physical Demands Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal depth perception and peripheral vision Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 65 lbs. unaided Ability to stand or sit for up to 3 hours at a time Ability to occasionally kneel, crouch, bend or extend reach as required to perform tasks Ability to ascend and descend stairs

Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Hourly Rate:
$24.35 - $28.19 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
