Job Description
Job Summary The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of all shipments. This role includes supervising a team of shipping clerks, maintaining proper documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all shipping procedures and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments. Supervise and lead a team of shipping clerks. Verify accuracy of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Monitor shipping costs to ensure adherence to budgets. Communicate with carriers to coordinate shipment and delivery schedules. Resolve any issues related to shipping and receiving activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role. Proven supervisory experience. Forklift experience required. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
