  • Corona Our Company Using state-of-the-art technology, Acromil, LLC in City of Industry, CA has been a primary supplier to the Commercial and Defense Aerospace Industries of complex structural components and assemblies since 1959.

This vision led us to the acquisition of a similar business operation located in Corona, CA in September 2018 for a total footprint of 200,000 square feet. Acromil's increased capacity will further our goal of being a World Class Supplier. Our Opportunity The selected individual will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Work closely with the Production Control Manager to set priorities for the department and manage the Shipping/Receiving department and all subordinate personnel. Duties include, but are not limited to, assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Train, mentor, develop and oversee daily performance of subordinate personnel. Essential Duties Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or purchase orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment to include s/n tracking as applicable. Confers and corresponds with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Delivers or routes materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins. Computes amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list. Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes. Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Packs, seals, labels, and affixes postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, bar coding and postage meter. Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Determines most suitable shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Train, mentor, develop and oversee daily performance of subordinate personnel. Other duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily by having a minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Education/Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED); some college preferred with 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as procedure manuals, purchase orders, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Other Skills and Abilities Strong organizations skills. Good interpersonal skills required. Ability to read, understand and retain working knowledge of procedures and company documents. Proven ability to effectively motivate, mentor and develop subordinate employees. Assertive, confident and able to work with minimum supervision. Highly organized, detail orientated and strong follow-up skills. The employee is occasionally required to operate a forklift and to work near moving mechanical parts.
