Wire Cutter

Summary:

The general function of the position is to support the Warehouse operations. The responsibility of a Wire Cutter is to ensure wire is cut based on customer specifications and available to customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Operate wire machines that measure lengths of wire to customers requirements (including reeling and coiling) Examine wire for conformance to specifications and removes defective pieces Read and understand detailed orders requiring specific lengths and styles of wire to be cut Conduct cycle counts in wiring Follow established procedures of handling stock and stock discrepancies May perform other duties as needed Able to work mandatory overtime as required Continue training on various electrical products Keep warehouse, including bins and aisles, neat and orderly Observe safe forklift operations Observe all company safety procedures and attend all mandatory safety meetings Perform other duties assigned Work mandatory overtime as needed

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of electrical parts and inventory Experience working in the Electrical Distribution Industry or Construction Industry preferred Experience working in Warehouse environment preferred

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to lift or pull up to 50 pounds, sit, communicate, reach, manipulate objects, tools or controls, climb ladders or onto trucks, and/or operate wire cutting machinery. The position requires mobility, manual dexterity and coordination of up to 50% of the time. The position requires employee to walk on concrete or other hard floor surfaces; stand continuously; pull heavy items in warehouse or yard; Load and unload trucks from ground level or platform; repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity; repetitively climbing; continuous repetitive kneeling reaching overhead, above shoulder and below shoulder; twisting and bending.

Working Conditions:

Office or warehouse environment. May be exposed to dust, heat or cold, and other environment seasonal changes. Minimum physical exertion.
