Shipping Supervisor Schedule:
Full time M-F 6AM to 2:30PM shift.
Exempt Salary Position:
$68,640-$79,816 per year

Position Overview:
TLIE is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor who leads by example. In this role, you are not just managing the department and employees, you are the leader of that department itself. You will lead 4 shipping packaging clerks and 1 driver while personally operating heavy equipment, updating process documentation, and serving as the primary backup for all departmental tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Departmental Management
  • Lead, train, certify, and mentor shipping packaging clerks and the delivery driver.
  • Set daily workload, conduct performance reviews, and manage employee packaging scheduled to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
  • Manage the daily route planning for the company driver, task responsibilities as needed during shift ensuring efficient pick-ups and deliveries of customer orders.
  • Edit/Write SOPs to reflect process improvements, ensuring all shipping activities are up to date with process, quality and safety standards.
  • Act as the primary backup for the delivery driver and shipping clerks. You must be ready to drive the route or join the packaging line to meet the lead time. Shipping & Logistics
  • Organize daily shipments based on lead time schedule and customer deadlines.
  • Oversee the receipt of incoming customer orders/parts, ensuring accurate documentation and immediate entry into our tracking system.
  • Manage the "will call" desk, providing professional and efficient service to customers picking up completed orders.
  • Process all UPS/FedEx domestic and international logistic orders daily to ensure on time shipments.
  • Safely operate an electric forklift and manual pallet jack to load/unload trucks and move high-value, critical parts and components.
  • Hands-on packaging of orders as/when needed & required. Physically receive customers parts, verify documentation, and stage parts for next department. Quality Control
  • Ensure all parts are handled, packaged, and staged according to best packaging standard for the industry to prevent contamination.
  • Review all shipping orders, BOLs, and internal job order documents for 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing PPE & safety standards in Shipping. Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate counts of all shipping and packaging inventory supplies.
  • Proactively monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to ensure no downtime in the shipping department.
  • Inventory/Organization of inventory/storage canopies of customers orders.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in shipping/logistics, with at least 2 years in supervisor role within a manufacturing or semiconductor industry environment.
  • Familiarity with industry parts and the specialized packaging required for components is highly preferred.
  • Experience with computer software, along with shipping software like FedEx Ship Manager/ UPS WorldShip.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as the position will require working between production departments, will-call drivers, and customers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and spend 80%+ of the day on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience operating an electric forklift, specifically handling high value of fragile material. Certification Required.
  • Proven ability to read, follow, and edit SOPs or work instructions.
  • A clean driving record is mandatory to service as the backup driver.
