Job Description

Position Summary The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role also supervises the in-house delivery and installation team to ensure exceptional customer service, safe product handling, and professional on-site installations. The position leads warehouse and field staff, maintains inventory accuracy, ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations, and drives continuous process improvements. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, delivery, or logistics. 2-3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Experience coordinating delivery routes and installation schedules. Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems. Understanding of inventory control practices and logistics processes. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred). Valid driver's license. Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Comfortable working in warehouse and field environments with varying conditions. Key Responsibilities Supervision & Team Leadership Supervise, train, and evaluate shipping, receiving, delivery, and installation personnel. Schedule warehouse staff and delivery/installation crews to meet daily workload and customer commitments. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and teamwork. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development. Address employee concerns and resolve operational issues promptly. Partner with Management to develop and implement procedures that increase efficiency, reduce cost, and employee performance. Shipping Operations Oversee preparation, packaging, labeling, and documentation of outgoing shipments. Ensure orders are picked, QCd, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. Coordinate with carriers and freight providers to optimize delivery schedules. Monitor shipping costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Receiving Operations Oversee unloading, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments. Ensure accurate receiving documentation and system updates. Coordinate resolution of discrepancies, damages, or shortages with purchasing teams. Ensure proper storage, staging, and handling of materials. Delivery & Installation Oversight Supervise in-house delivery and installation teams to ensure timely, professional service. Coordinate daily routes, job assignments, and installation schedules. Ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and stocked. Ensure installation quality and customer satisfaction through periodic on-site visits. Address on-site issues and customer concerns in a prompt and professional manner. Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling procedures during transport and installation. Compliance & Safety Enforce company policies and warehouse procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and fleet environment. Lead safety meetings and training sessions for warehouse and delivery teams. Process Improvement & Reporting Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, installation completion rates, and inventory accuracy. Prepare reports on operational performance and service metrics. Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve customer experience. Pay:
$28.85 - $31.25 per hour
