POSITION INFO
Coordinates and oversees all activities related to the shipping and packaging of materials leaving SVF Flow Controls, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
Starting pay rate:
$23.00/hr.
Schedule:
Day shift, on-site, Monday - Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and direct daily shipping activities with the support of Product Allocation Specialists. Collaborate with department leaders to plan and organize departmental activities. Train associates in the Shipping department to ensure understanding of the workflow of operations. Inspect shipping equipment and report maintenance needs to the Supervisor, Operations Support. Prepare, package, crate, and load shipments to suppliers and customers, either personally or via associates. Verify the quality and accuracy of outgoing shipments against shipping requirements. Troubleshoot issues and develop procedures to support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain discipline and standard operating procedures within the shipping area. Manage inventory levels of packaging supplies and coordinate purchasing through approved vendors. Maintain approved supplier and shipping carrier lists. Prepare and process required customs documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, shipper's export declarations, declarations of non‑wood packaging). Process order packages in SAP, including generating packing slips. Follow and enforce company policies and procedures, including a safe working environment. Build crates for standard product shipments as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in warehouse and shipping and/or production environment. UPS and FedEx labeling systems. SAP ERP System.
EDUCATION
H/S diploma and/or equivalent.
TRAINING AND SKILLS
Ability to train others in the use of shipping tools, material handling equipment, and company procedures. Microsoft Suite

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Must be willing to work extended hours to ensure all job requirements are fulfilled. Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, and handling of material(s) on ground level. Cherry Picker or Forklift for products above ground level.
