SUMMARY Working under the general supervision of the shipping and receiving supervisor, following specific procedures, performs a variety of duties to accomplish the shipment of all finished goods and the receipt of all purchased materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following: Comply with all Company policies and procedures Answer Phones Greet visitors Receive incoming freight into SAP Check in truck drivers and provide safety orientation Keep log up to date for CPC truck drivers Enter Shipping information on BOL's PGI shipments Daily billing Prepare various spreadsheets regarding shipping/receiving Help with cycle counts Maintain files - BOL's, receipts, misc. Print daily loads for shipping one week in advance Book trucks to pick up daily loads Preform pre-calls to customers as needed Verify POD's and voucher shipments Enter bi-weekly wood counts into SAP Schedule/Invoice pellet trucks as needed Manage VIM inbox Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Plant Manager
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 5+ years' experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to research/resolve problems or issues in a timely manner Ability to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere Must be available to work Monday-Friday 6:00AM-3:00PM and every other weekend 4 hours/day (7:00AM-11:00AM) as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay range for this position is $30.03 to $33.03. This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
