Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Verify aluminum and zinc ingots received are correctly identified by metal type, heat number, and quantity; confirm receipt by signing shipping documentation Ensure all received materials match accompanying documentation and report discrepancies Assist in coordinating the status of parts with suppliers and outside processing vendors Prepare parts for shipment, including packaging, palletizing, wrapping, and strapping as required Complete required shipping inspection records and ensure Quality approval prior to shipment Assist with booking shipments with approved carriers Ship parts on time in accordance with casting orders and customer requirements Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records Track and record parts sent to outside operations and ensure timely return Perform periodic inventory counts of parts in designated shipping areas Maintain clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving areas Monitor and record shipping and packaging supply inventory as needed Perform minor pallet repairs and general material handling tasks as required Safely dispose of scrap and packaging materials in accordance with company procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Forklift Operation & Safety Requirements • Safely operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) to load, unload, transport, and stage materials Must have prior forklift operating experience Forklift operation must be performed in compliance with OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations, including Title 8, Section 3668 Employee must be trained and evaluated by the Company and authorized in writing to operate forklifts Employee must follow all safety procedures, traffic rules, and equipment inspection requirements Must immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to supervision Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred Forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire) Experience in die casting, metal manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus Ability to read and understand shipping documents, packing slips, and work orders Basic computer and data entry skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A minimum of five (5) days of work is required Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and temperature variations Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
