Cold Storage Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cold Storage Warehouse Supervisor to lead our temperature-controlled storage operations. In this vital role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient inventory management, safe materials handling, and seamless logistics processes. Your leadership will drive process improvements, maintain compliance with safety standards, and foster a productive team environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic cold storage environment, supporting e-commerce and distribution channels with precision and enthusiasm. Responsibilities include but not limited to :

• Report to and work alongside Warehouse Facilitator to meet customer and company needs
• Verifies all personnel are present and well suited to work
• Monitors the performance of the Warehouse Team, assists with problem resolution to ensure team member productivity, and takes necessary action to correct performance
• Supervise the processes associated with the shipping and receiving of product
• Oversee required inventory moves and ensure they are completed in a timely manner
• Delegates, trains, and manages the work activities of Warehouse Team
• Protect CGW's assets by monitoring and verifying operation of various systems, including facility security systems and alarm status; ensure visitors are controlled and monitored; and ensure facility cleanliness within Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) standards.
• Verify all required warehouse logs encompassing facility temperature and sanitation are completed in a timely manner and take action and/or follow-up when deficiencies are noted
• Verify / monitor the pest control program including reporting broken traps and increased rodent activity to third party contractor
• Oversee damaged product inspection
• Ensure cross training and development of qualified employees
• Ensure efficient space utilization
• Maintain a safe work environment and observe all safety requirements
• Ensure the Warehouse Team receives appropriate training: Forklift, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), Emergency Action Plans, Allergen Program, Food Safety, and Food Defense
• Oversee Safety Quality Food (SQF) system as an SQF Practitioner
• Recommends for approval and schedules various repairs and preventive maintenance
• Maintains a positive relationship with team members, vendors, and customers
• Other duties as necessary

Required Education, Experience, and Skills :

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
• Must be trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Preventative Controls Lead Instructor (PCQI)
• Demonstrates leadership, organization, time management, and delegation skills
• Proficient in high volume shipping and experienced with schedule planning in a shipping / warehouse environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Timely and efficient commitment to completing tasks and a strong work ethic

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills :

• Warehouse/inventory management system
• Forklift experience

Pay:

$30.00 - $34.00 per hour
