This is a hands-on leadership role that requires active participation in warehouse operations while ensuring shipments are loaded accurately, dispatched on time, and executed safely. The position is expected to spend the majority of the workday supporting operational activities while leading and coordinating warehouse associates on the shipping floor. Key Responsibilities 1. Shipping Operations Coordinate daily outbound shipments including LTL, PTL, and FTL orders. Verify shipment accuracy, pallet counts, labels, and shipping documentation. Ensure all outbound loads are prepared and shipped according to customer requirements and carrier schedules. Support trailer loading, pallet staging, and shipment verification activities. Monitor dock activities to maximize loading efficiency and trailer utilization. 2. Floor Leadership Lead warehouse associates during daily shipping operations. Assign tasks and balance workload based on shipping priorities. Ensure all outbound procedures and work instructions are followed. Provide hands-on support during peak workload periods. 3. Problem Solving & Communication Investigate shipment discrepancies and resolve issues before dispatch. Coordinate with Customer Service, Inventory Control, Transportation, and Warehouse teams. Communicate carrier delays, dock issues, and shipment exceptions to management. Ensure accurate shift handoff communication and operational updates. 4. Safety & Quality Enforce warehouse safety policies and PPE requirements. Monitor safe loading practices and equipment operation. Conduct shipment quality checks to ensure loading accuracy. Report safety incidents, equipment issues, and quality concerns promptly. 5. Continuous Improvement Support 5S and warehouse organization initiatives. Identify inefficiencies in staging, loading, and shipping processes. Recommend improvements to increase productivity, accuracy, and customer service performance. Qualifications Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. Minimum 2 years of warehouse shipping, logistics, or distribution experience. Experience with LTL, PTL, FTL, and palletized freight operations preferred. Forklift certification and shipping dock experience preferred. Familiarity with WMS systems and shipping documentation. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
