The Lead will perform DC warehouse duties while managing the operation of the DC. Key Responsibilities Oversees the daily operations of the DSD DC. Assigns daily tasks to the DSD Warehouse Utilities, ensuring that work is done accurately and timely. Assists with training new DSD warehouse team members. Orders inventory; Receives, stores, loads, and ensures all products and materials are accounted for and kept in excellent condition. Unloads trailers that arrive at the DSD warehouse and checks trailer loads for accuracy. Checks product that Independent Operators and Distributors pick and load, signing load tickets to verify correct inventory. Uses a handheld computer to balance the daily inventory (warehouse inventory, daily orders, extra orders, return to stock, trailer loads). Accepts and checks return to stock product and stale and damaged products. Keeps the DSD warehouse organized including product rotation; maintains cleanliness of warehouse, including the restroom(s). Covers open routes as directed by management: Delivers product to customers and bins as needed. Places and merchandizes authorized products in accounts that are to be serviced. Leads and assists with month-end inventory counts. Alerts any discrepancies to the Regional Ops Manager immediately. Job Requirements 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a DSD DC in a food related industry. Prior experience using an Enterprise Resource System such as D365 is highly preferred. Experience leading and directing others is preferred. Requires organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory, records, and rotation of product at the distribution center. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; requires basic math skills. Requires independent decision making on inventory needs, especially during promotional activity. Must be at least 19 years old, have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and possess or have the ability to obtain a DOT medical card. Must be able to fill in and cover open routes, as necessary; must be able to operate a route sales delivery step van or box truck in a safe and competent manner. Must be able to drive a forklift and/or use a hand jack may be required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel.
