Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Position Overview Our client is seeking a hands-on Distribution Center Supervisor to lead inventory, procurement, and material operations in a fast-paced airport environment. This role is responsible for ensuring parts availability, inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, and team performance while supporting critical maintenance and operational activities. The ideal candidate will have experience leading warehouse, inventory, maintenance support, or parts operations teams and possess strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Parts Operations Supervise daily inventory, receiving, purchasing, and material distribution activities. Ensure parts and materials are available to support maintenance and operational requirements. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and CMMS tracking. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities. Verify incoming shipments and resolve discrepancies with vendors and suppliers. Leadership & Team Management Lead, train, mentor, and support inventory and parts personnel. Coordinate schedules and daily work assignments. Conduct team meetings, shift handoffs, and performance discussions. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service. Procurement & Vendor Management Evaluate vendor quotes and purchasing options. Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance. Support cost-control initiatives and inventory optimization efforts. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Operational Support Analyze material usage trends and inventory performance metrics. Develop reports and KPIs to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Support maintenance and operational teams with material planning and coordination. Operate forklifts, company vehicles, and material handling equipment as needed. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License. 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, or maintenance support. 1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience. Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) experience. Mechanical troubleshooting experience. Airport operations, aviation, or maintenance environment experience. Associate's or Bachelor's degree. Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory software. Ability to read technical documentation, parts diagrams, and blueprints.
