Job Description

Warehouse Team Leader BTX Global Logistics is seeking a proven Warehouse Team Leader with a track record of success within the warehousing and fulfillment industry. The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supporting the BTX Fulfillment operations, SOPs and KPIs. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for various warehouse functions. Ultimately, this position will be responsible for the quality of service and direct line to warehouse team members. BTX is seeking a driven and dynamic individual who will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. Including managing the demands of customers and special projects. Team Leader must possess the leadership and communication skills required to effectively interact directly with team members; The Warehouse Team Leader will be a key member of the BTX team and will interact across all organizational levels for BTX Fulfillment business.
Responsibilities Include:
Ensures that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments. Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks. Inspects quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team. Verifies those outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures. Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives. Maintains detailed and accurate work records. Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas. Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees. Orders new equipment as requested by management. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Summary of Experience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. At least two years of related work experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent management and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to motivate team to accomplish objectives. Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers. Ability to remain organized. Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse. Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations. Ability to lift heavy up to 30lbs A proven diverse background in all aspects of Domestic freight forwarding and operations within a dynamic growth environment Working knowledge of TSA regulations Excellent time management and organization skills Strong basic skills in
Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Additional Information:
BTX Global Logistics is a global transportation and logistics organization with over 35 regional branches in the U.S. and Canada. The Warehouse Team Leader Representative will be expected to aid in the transformational change expected of this organization due to its continual and rapid growth.
