Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain and Logistics Director and is accountable to the Lead Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator performs activities related to the Shipping and Receiving area of the Logistics Department. Responsible for the issuance of parts and materials, as well as the issuance and reception of calibrated and specialty tools and equipment.
Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in a supply chain related role, preferably in support of an aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facility. Warehouse experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping / Receiving engines, modules, and components, including processing and collecting all proper documentation for each engine. Capturing and downloading pictures of the engine when it arrives and before it ships, as well as wrapping Shipping parts and / or materials to customers as required. Capturing pictures and keeping records of the components being shipped and documenting the shipment date. Ensure that components being sent out for Repair / Overhaul are checked for proper part number, nomenclature, and serial number. Receiving Repair Orders in SAP and maintaining records. Identifying the part number, nomenclature, and serial number as noted on the shipment documents. Verifying all the appropriate paperwork is included during the receiving process. Notifying the Supply Chain and Logistics Director and Lead Shipping and Receiving Coordinator immediately when there is a discrepancy. Ensure that components being received in for Purchase Orders are checked for proper part number, nomenclature, and serial number. Receiving Purchase Orders in SAP and maintaining records. Verifying all the appropriate paperwork is included during the receiving process. Notifying the Supply Chain and Logistics Director and Lead Shipping and Receiving Coordinator immediately when there is a discrepancy.
Shipping / Receiving
with digital accuracy in SAP, this includes creating a GRPO and issuing parts with the correct dates of completion. Identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all stock and tools to a serviceable condition; and area for those tools in unserviceable category as designated. Preservation of all articles, parts and components while carried in inventory; including parts and/or materials subject to deterioration or shelf-life specifications as noted on posted listing. Assist with performing weekly and monthly inventory counts per company guidelines. Maintain an adequately marked area to store customer supplied parts and identify the customer's containers as required. Acts as back up for Stock Room when required. This includes but is not limited to assisting with issuing parts for Work-Orders as required and making copies of Purchase Orders / Repair Orders, verify documentation and files in the Stock Room. Routes original copy to Inspection for the Receiving Inspection. Act as a backup for the Tool Calibration Program.
Core Competency Requirements:
Comprehend and adhere to all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including FAA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks. Understands, reads, and writes the English language. Requires the ability to interact well with people inside and outside the Repair Station. Must be able to process paperwork effectively and efficiently.
Education Requirements:
High School graduate or General Education Development (GED) Certificate and / or equivalent experience is mandatory. An associate degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, or other related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to meet the physical demands of the job like sitting and standing for extensive periods and must be able to safely lift a maximum of fifty pounds. When necessary and applicable, must be able to utilize and wear various Personal Protective Equipment, including eye protection.
Working Conditions:
Occasionally exposed to and must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature extremes, and other varying elements. Must be able and willing to work varying and extended hours, if required. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Repair Station duties. Must comply with the Repair Stations' alcohol and drug free policy.
Additional Requirements:
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Inventory management software experience is required; SAP experience is preferred. General knowledge of and the ability to navigate, research, utilize, and apply various types of technical data applicable to the role of Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. A valid Florida issued Driver's License (required for Powered Industrial Truck Operation - ePicker and / or Forklift).
