Job Description Title:
Sr. North America Distribution Operations Lead Role Purpose Lead day-to-day North America distribution operations execution across DCs and 3PLs, ensuring reliable service, cost discipline, and operational stability for retail, DTC, and professional channels. We are seeking a senior operations lead with deep forward logistics and distribution experience to oversee end-to-end North America distribution operations. This role is responsible for managing and directing our third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure consistent, on-time, and cost-effective fulfillment across all channels. The ideal candidate brings strong operational rigor, a hands-on operator mindset, and a proven ability to hold external partners accountable while scaling reliable distribution performance across a complex North American network. Indirect (via 3PLs) Key Responsibilities 1. Distribution Operations Execution (Core) Own daily DC operations performance : receiving, storage, pick/pack/ship Deliver OTIF, order cycle time, throughput, and accuracy Manage 3PL partners to SLAs, KPIs, and cost commitments Ensure operational readiness for peaks, launches, and promotions If product doesn't ship correctly and on time, this role owns it. 2. Cost & Productivity Control Manage warehousing & DC ops costs against plan Drive labor productivity, utilization, and cost per unit Eliminate waste: re-handling, poor slotting, split shipments Partner with Transportation on outbound execution discipline This role protects margin through operational rigor . 3. Network Stability & Capacity Monitor capacity vs demand and escalate risks early Support network changes: volume shifts, new SKUs, DC adds/exits Execute automation, layout, and process improvements Maintain operational continuity during disruptions 4. DTC & Channel Fulfillment Execute channel-appropriate service levels Support premium customer experience without uncontrolled cost Work with Commercial, CX, and Finance on service trade-offs Ensure accessory and small-parcel fulfillment doesn't erode margin quietly 5. Safety, Compliance & Governance Ensure s afety, battery handling, and environmental compliance in DCs Maintain audit-ready operations (SOX, EPC, customs interface) Enforce SOPs and corrective actions Success Metrics OTIF / Perfect Order Rate Order Cycle Time DC Ops Cost % of Sales Cost per Unit Shipped Labor Productivity Peak performance vs plan Safety & compliance metrics Leadership Expectations Strong operator mindset Comfortable holding 3PLs accountable Data-driven, financially literate Clear communicator under pressure Escalates early and constructively Experience & Profile 5-7 years in distribution / fulfillment operations or relevant experience Experience running DCs or large 3PL operations Omnichannel exposure (retail + DTC) Strong operational and financial discipline Proven ability to execute change, not just manage status quo Automotive Operations experience a plus At Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents! The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Atlanta, Georgia is: $119,400-$164,100.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
