Night Supervisor Warehouse & Transportation Operations

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Supervisor to oversee warehouse and transportation operations during the evening shift. The ideal candidate will supervise warehouse staff and drivers, manage workflow based on freight volume, and ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and drivers during the night shift to ensure operational efficiency. Implement effective shift‑management practices to optimize productivity and performance. Ensure the warehouse is properly set up and ready for next‑day operations. Monitor receiving, staging, and loading processes; ensure freight is handled correctly and all damages are documented. Track delivery progress throughout the night and maintain consistent communication with drivers. Ensure proper and compliant use of the ELD system by all drivers. Oversee the freight reconciliation process and ensure accuracy and compliance at all times. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to support customer satisfaction. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment for employees and visitors. Conduct employee orientation, coaching, and training to develop a knowledgeable and compliant team. Qualifications Proven experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and transportation management. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and manage stress effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers. Proactive problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Proficient with computers, MS Office, scanners, and general software. Knowledge of ELD systems such as Motive. Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations. Forklift experience (preferred). Valid DOT Medical Card (preferred). Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
