Job Description
Jibe Staffing has an immediate need for an experienced Receiving Supervisor for a fast paced distribution company. This position is full time, direct hire. At Jibe Staffing we do things differently. The Receiving Supervisor will oversees all inbound warehouse operations, ensuring the timely, accurate, and safe receipt of inventory. This role is responsible for supervising receiving personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound shipments, and driving productivity within a fast-paced distribution environment. Essential Responsibilities Supervise daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspection, staging, and put-away of inbound products. Lead, train, coach, and develop receiving associates to achieve operational goals. Coordinate inbound deliveries and communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments. Verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing lists. Ensure accurate inventory transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Monitor productivity and labor utilization while maintaining service level expectations. Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, damages, and inventory variances. Maintain compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Prepare operational reports and communicate performance metrics to management. Support staffing, scheduling, and performance management activities. Experience within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment. Knowledge of apparel, footwear, retail, or consumer goods receiving. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years of warehouse or distribution center supervisory experience. Experience managing receiving, inventory control, or inbound logistics operations. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Excel, and inventory reporting tools. Forklift certification or ability to become certified. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
