Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Team Lead to oversee and coordinate all shipping and logistics operations within our warehouse. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, and maintaining seamless shipping and receiving processes. Your leadership will drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and optimize materials handling to support our e-commerce and supply chain objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational excellence while fostering a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate processing of outbound and inbound shipments Coordinate warehouse distribution activities, including order picking, packing, labeling, and staging for shipment Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline materials handling workflows Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and promote a safe working environment for all team members Collaborate with Logistics team to optimize shipping routes, carrier selection, and delivery schedules Supervise team performance through training, coaching, and development initiatives to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce Maintain detailed documentation of shipping activities, incident reports, safety audits, and process updates Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a fast-paced distribution environment Strong background in inventory control, logistics coordination, and warehouse distribution processes Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical handling equipment; forklift certification preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 platforms, and 3PL operations Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse environments Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a dynamic setting Prior experience in e-commerce fulfillment or materials handling is highly desirable Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently Join us as a Shipping Team Lead to drive operational success through leadership, innovation, and dedication.
