Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, smooth and efficient warehouse operations in the Pipe Cell, Receiving Department and Shipping. •
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Must optimize our labor resources to ensure efficient and high-quality results in accordance with Departmental and Individual KPI's. Adjusts staffing levels to align with current and / or changing demand as well as seasonal adjustments to keep our overhead costs as low as possible. Must be able to prioritize all warehouse activities based on the Daily Labor Plan. This is achieved by working closely with the Production Manager. Maintains on-time shipping of all customer orders by division per established guidelines (KPI's). Ensures the warehouse and its inventory is secured daily. Ensures that product is shipped and received efficiently and accurately. Cross-train warehouse personnel to complete tasks and duties in a safe and efficient manner. Establish and maintain open lines of communications with all employees. Leads all Warehouse Teams (with exception to Packaging) and directs their work. Keeps the Production Manager fully informed of any safety, quality or productivity issues. Recommends measures to improve Safety, quality and increase productivity. Active member of the facility Safety Committee. Establishes and maintains standard work instructions and operating procedures. Ensures all JMF policies and procedures are followed. Maintains a clean and uncluttered warehouse environment. Follows and improves quality control procedures. Follows and administers all Safety Policies and Procedures. Education:
Required:
High School Degree or GED from an accredited institution.
Preferred:
Associate Degree in logistics, warehousing, material handling, supply chain management or a related field.
Experience:
Required:
Three years of Supervisory experience in a related field.
Preferred:
Five or more years of Supervisory experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be effective at supervising warehouse personnel. Possess strong mathematical skills for analyzing performance data (KPI tracking) and inventory status Exceptional organizational skills Capable of handling multiple priorities, activities, tasks and projects accurately in a fast-paced environment Strong time management skills. Demonstrate an attention to detail in all tasks and duties. Possess strong project management skills Self-starter and highly motivated. Ability to work independently when necessary Possess positive and cooperative attitude Ability to be flexible and adaptable to an ever changing work load and environment Solid problem solving methods which lead to effective corrective and preventative measures Sound logical and rational reasoning abilities Effective at training and cross training warehouse personnel in a variety of job assignments Ability to delegate, supervise and evaluate the performance of the warehouse personnel.
Measures of Performance:
Control labor costs and react quickly to demand cycles or changes. Consistently meet or exceed Department and individual KPI's by position. Achieve optimal dollars shipped per labor hour Minimal quality issues on internal processes and finished goods shipments (RGA's) Drive operational excellence through process evaluations and improvements using Lean Methodologies. Responsible for Safety within the assigned AOR. Goal of zero recordable injuries. Consistently meet or exceed Department and individual KPI's by position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk, hear / listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, bend and drive material handling equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is primarily exposed to a wide range of seasonal ambient temperature changes. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet but is moderate and at times loud based on specific department activities and utilization of tools or equipment. General production and warehouse environment.
