Job Description
Under regular supervision, performs diversified tasks with responsibilities for shipping and receiving procedures. Regularly adapts procedures to complete assignments, and serves as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues.
Primary responsibilities include:
Prepares all shipping documents and correspondence pertaining to the work of the department in a timely and accurate manner. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form professionally and effectively with co-workers, departments, drivers, customers and vendors as well. Must be able to understand quality standards, methods, procedures and reporting as required. Responsible to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Reviews and prepares reports; selects and interprets information to be included, ensures accuracy of all documents and will be required to handle confidential information with professionalism. With supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolving problems and issues using a variety of instructions or guides furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Coordinating assigned shipping and receiving tasks to expedite an order, process a transaction or ship a product, to include arranging the loading/unloading of products, and customer orders to be moved, gathered or distributed. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and office/freezer supplies and distribute as directed.Shift:
Night Shift. Hours range from 4:30 PM - 4:30 AM Sunday - Saturday. Generally, work 4 days per week, 10-11.5 hours each day. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Oracle and/ OTM software knowledge is greatly desired, along with knowledge of shipping/receiving processes. Computer skills to include the use of Microsoft windows, ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and basic math skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, customers and vendors.
