Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations for a locally owned manufacturing company in Waterloo. This person should have leadership experience along with familiarity in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Communicate with the team what their expectations are for the day. Motivate Employees to work safely and efficiently. Work with the Operations Manager to establish what needs to be produced for that day. Make sure the team is keeping their work area clean and hazard free. Move uncut material to stations to be cut. Label cut material and move material to proper areas in the yard. Make sure employees stay on task and have work to complete. Unload wood trucks if needed. Communicate with other shops to ensure what they are building for that day. Change blades and saws when needed. Make sure saws are running properly. Maintain good attendance and set an example of what is expected out of employees. Keep a positive and constructive attitude. Must be able to train new employees and coach existing employees. Requirements Quality Control Knowledge of processing equipment Knowledge of the production process and protocols Ability to motivate others to meet the demands established by the schedule Understanding policies, procedures and company values Basic understanding of computers Good oral and written communication skills Basic Math skills Ability to stand for extended periods of time Safely bend and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to operate power tools and operate a forklift
