Dock Supervisor

Join a dynamic team at premier Transportation, a leader in transportation and logistics specializing in the shipping, receiving, and storage of heavy equipment. We are seeking a Warehouse / Dock Supervisor to oversee our operations and lead a team of dedicated professionals.

Position Overview :

As the Warehouse / Dock Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and dock facilities. You will be responsible for supervising a team engaged in shipping, receiving, and storing heavy equipment, while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Monday - Friday 6:00AM- 4PM (During peak season one weekend day may be required.)

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse and dock personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Operational Oversight:

Oversee all aspects of shipping, receiving, and storage operations for heavy equipment, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet operational demands.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training and inspections.

Equipment Management:

Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and palletizing machinery. Ensure equipment is operated safely andefficiently.

Customer Relations:

Interface with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, andensure exceptional service delivery.

Performance Metrics:

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in transportation and logistics, preferably in a warehouse or dock setting.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in forklift operation and palletizing techniques is essential.

Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in team supervision, training, and development.

Organizational Skills:

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Communication:

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.

Safety Awareness:

Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and practices within a warehouse environment.
