Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator with a CDL-A license to join our fast-paced distribution team. This role supports the efficient movement of goods through shipping, receiving, inventory control, and local transportation. Primary responsibilities include scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries with local and national carriers (LTL and full truckload), transporting materials between our Production Facility and Shipping Warehouse, and making occasional deliveries to local customers or pickups from local suppliers. This position also occasionally supports liquid filling operations, including operating, adjusting, and maintaining manual and semi-automated filling equipment while following batch record instructions and verifying completion of assigned tasks. Experience in warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, material management, and logistics coordination, will help us maintain seamless distribution processes. Primary Responsibilities Manage shipping and receiving of truckload shipments in accordance with FDA-required procedures. Coordinate delivery appointments with trucking companies, suppliers, and customers. Track lot numbers and complete Bills of Lading. Load and unload materials and equipment safely while following all safety protocols and CDL-A driving regulations. Receive and sample materials in accordance with FDA and DEA guidelines. Maintain and organize a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse containing packaging materials and finished goods to support safety and operational efficiency. Transport released materials from the Production Facility to the local Shipping Warehouse and bring packaging materials on return trips to support upcoming production runs. Stage orders and record lot numbers using first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory practices. Participate in daily production activities, including operating a semi-automated filling line. Pack full cases of product, stack pallets, and prepare finished goods for shipment. Ensure all products meet quality specifications. Perform general housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Additional duties as assigned. Required Skills Experience with shipping & receiving procedures within a warehouse or distribution center setting preferred. Tracking lot numbers and creating Bills of Lading for shipments. Basic math skills for counting inventory items accurately and processing shipments effectively. Proficient and safe operation of a forklift to load and unload trucks. Ability to proactively identify material requirements based on upcoming production schedules. Valid CDL Class A license with
NO RESTRICTIONS
(Air Brake, tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred). Additional endorsements can be acquired after hire. Knowledge of DOT Hazmat shipping specifications preferred. Clean driving record. Attention to detail to maintain quality products. Flexibility to work in various parts of the filling process. PC skills required (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office). Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player. Excellent communication skills including verbal, email, and text messaging.
