Terminal Operator III

• Description:

• Performs duties as outlined by the Terminal Manager related to the receipt and shipment of petroleum products via pipeline, dock, and truck. The Individual must be able to manage multiple tasks and recognize abnormal operating conditions and respond within Valero's guidelines.
• Use the terminal automation system to complete daily inventory and rack activity reports.
• Ensure equipment is operated within design parameters.
• Give direction to terminal operators I and II.
• Able to perform lower level duties.
• Able to investigate excessive inventory losses and gains or other measurement issues.
• Answering questions and assisting various regulatory agencies.
• Assisting maintenance personnel on various capital and expense jobs along with day to day needs.
• Training new personnel.
• Minor maintenance and repairs.
• Initiating emergency call outs, and acting as the first responder /QI until assistance arrives.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and SAP.
• Able to calibrate additive injectors and switch additive formulations while meeting EPA additive requirements.

This position requires incumbent to train in the safe handling of hazardous materials which includes, USCG, DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations and implemented before and during all transfers. Strict adherence to Valero's HSE policies must be applied at all times. This position has maintenance and accounting responsibilities in accordance with established company and government regulations.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

• Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5 years experience in terminal operations required.

Position level and rate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
