Job Description
Ronpak is a nationally renowned manufacturer of carry out paper bags, portion control bags and food wraps with a huge range of choices. Founded in 1947, the company is a solid supplier with continuous, stable ownership. Ronpak has the most advanced production and distribution platforms in the custom printed packaging industry today. Ronpak has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Shreveport, LA plant with availability to work all shifts: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, 3PM-11PM and 11AM-7AM and Saturdays as needed. The role of the Warehouse Supervisor is to ensure the safe and accurate transportation of products within the facility, inbound receiving and outbound loading of shipping containers. The Warehouse Supervisor links all the processes involved, from obtaining the raw materials through to delivering the finished goods to the customer including the necessary data transactions and paperwork. The reports to (primary and/or dotted line) is the back up for the Warehouse Supervisor, and will cover for absences or vacancies.
Essential Job Functions:
Required to comply with company SOP's, GMP's, company rules and procedures. Supervision of the Warehouses (Finish Goods and Raw Material) Spot check shipping and receiving paperwork (daily- randomly during floor walks) Spot check trailers (daily
- randomly during floor walks) Walk Floor daily (checking perimeter, housecleaning, PPE, fire extinguisher, blow downs on forklifts, checking yard
- GMP checks) Including proper procedures and processes (rotation, white boards, etc.
Sheets:
Maintained and accurate at all times Responsible for Directing hourly employees as to tasks and requirements to be accomplished daily Run and review of open order report and report weekly short shipments Ordering of warehouse and shipping supplies Back-up for shipping and receiving data entry Preparation and scheduling of daily shipments via customer required shipping methods. Packing lists, pick ticket and bills of lading Schedule inbound and outbound transportation Maintain an active cycle count program to insure accurate inventories Complete material inspection reports. Coordinate pickup and removal of waste and recycling Responsible for utilizing available space the most efficiently Responsible for reporting issues related to Food Packaging safety or quality. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Required. Associates Degree Preferred. 5-10 years of warehouse/shipping inventory experience. Working knowledge of FIFO. Must be at least 18 years of age.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Standing for long periods of time Shows concern for quality work. Forklift operator certified. Physical Demands of theJob:
