Full Job Description Production Team Lead Job Summary:
This position will be the "master of their area" and is responsible for training, troubleshooting and potentially leading associates in their area. Team Leads may be required to perform other functions to support the DC as business needs dictate.Key Responsibilities:
- Willing to be mobile on the production floor instead of stationed at the desk.
- Filter from Logistics Supervisors to Specialists and Associates.
- Responsible for their area's workload to be completed on time for the day.
- Bring up issues and concerns that are happening on the floor while proposing appropriate solutions.
- Engage in conversations with the employees about their performance.
- Be a leader and lead by example.
- Take ownership of their area to ensure teams stay strong and productive or if teams need change.
- Team player within the shift and between the shifts.
- Has good attendance and is accountable.
- Work on manual or automatic SIOC lines as needed.
- Maintain safe work environment by being aware of surroundings; following standards and procedures; complying with operating policies and regulations.
- Safety focus - Drive to improve safety performance, ensure safety rules/practices and good housekeeping is followed.
- Ensure that all housekeeping and BBS audits are conducted weekly.
Qualifications:
- HS/GED required, and 2 or more years of related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities; previous leadership experience is an asset.
- Experience in distribution/logistics/warehouse preferred.
- Team oriented, self-motivated, and positive attitude.
- Requires flexibility to changing priorities based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Distribution/warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to use a 2-way radio.
- Experience using RF scanning equipment.
- Experience with
