Warehouse Supervisor

Summary:

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of shipping and receiving as well as warehouse organization and inventory control. Coordinates work for your shift to ensures the competent and timely completion of all work assigned and assures that all employees are following and applying the proper production and quality standards as well as using all proper safety procedures including wearing proper PPE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises day-to-day activities of personnel on your shift. Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Helping with scheduling when needed. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays, using production and operational reports. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Perform accident investigations. Manage and coordinate the team's performance including working alongside them. Be knowledgeable of products and quality requirements. Help teams to communicate effectively with all shifts and employees in the organization. Promotes safety, security, and good housekeeping practices in area. Help teams to communicate effectively with all shifts in the organization. Keeps employees informed of company and department policies. Work in other areas and do other duties as assigned and needed by company. Boost morale on shift by maintaining open communication with employees and upper management Other duties as assigned This role is essential for the startup of this new location and will begin with a training period at our corporate location in Chicopee MA.

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing and walking throughout shift, aside from break times. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs., mechanical assistance or assistance from another person required when lifting over 50lbs. Occasional carrying of up to 20lbs, intermittent carrying of over 50lbs with assistance. Occasional pushing/ pulling of up to 100lbs with assistance. Frequent us of arms, wrist and hands, along with occasional bending and twisting. Infrequently, there may be a need to crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, climb ladders and reach above the shoulder Safety /

PPE Requirements:

Must complete training as specified by the Company. Safety glasses and hearing protections must be worn at all times in all manufacturing, production, and factory areas. Other PPE, may be required when performing certain job functions. Education and/or

2 years work in a warehouse setting with hands on experience. 2 or more years in a supervisory role. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing processes and effective skills in managing employees
