Job Description
Shipping & Receiving Lead The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing daily inbound and outbound material flow within the warehouse and production support areas. This role ensures all shipments are accurately received, properly documented, and shipped on time in compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements. The Lead also supports and guides Shipping & Receiving team members to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities Verify incoming materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and system records Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements Ensure accurate data entry in inventory and ERP/MRP systems Coordinate with production, quality, and purchasing teams to support material flow Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely Maintain accurate shipping logs, manifests, and tracking documentation Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and company quality standards Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and material organization Train, guide, and support Shipping & Receiving associates Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualification 2-5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience (lead experience preferred) Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar a plus) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong communication and teamwork skills Basic computer skills (Excel, email, inventory systems) Preferred Experience Manufacturing or medical device environment
