Warehouse Assistant Supervisor Sparrows Point, MD The Warehouse Assistant Manager supports daily warehouse operations while actively participating in the physical handling of lumber and wood products. This role blends leadership responsibilities with hands-on tasks such as receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and loading materials for delivery

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations. Supervise warehouse staff and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to optimize logistics and minimize delays. Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Monitor workflow and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency. Train and mentor warehouse employees, promoting teamwork and productivity. Assist in resolving any operational or logistical issues. Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments. Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities. Generate reports on inventory, shipments, and operational performance. Assist in scheduling and workforce planning to meet operational demands. Perform administrative tasks related to warehouse operations as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Sparrows Point, MD facility

Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or management is a plus. 3+ years of experience in a warehouse, with supervisory and hands on experience preferred. Certification and experience in operating a forklift required. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects when necessary.

Compensation Salary:
