Job Description

Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Coordinator Responsible for receiving, verifying and processing incoming shipments. Packs and prepares products for shipping. Reviews and records incoming shipments and products; checks the condition of contents and alignment with original order. Routes or moves shipments to the proper departments or storage locations. Primary Job Responsibilities Operates hi-lo to load, unload, and move materials. Uses various equipment such as a computer terminal, personal computer, bar-coder, printer, photocopier, fax machine, calculator, etc. Verifies all incoming shipments for correct waybill information and visible damage. Communicates and follows-up on discrepancies with suppliers and publishers. Logs all incoming shipments and performs data entry into QAD system. Ensures that all incoming material, subassemblies, and assemblies are received, labelled and placed in appropriate storage areas. Prepares and processes merchandise to be returned to suppliers or delivered to customers and ensures shipping documents are complete. Ensures all relevant files are maintained and organized. Communicates with others to ensure shipping related problems are resolved. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy shipping and receiving environment by adhering to Android standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. Performs other supporting shop duties such as operating floor scrubber and other housekeeping tasks. Assist with mechanical assembly projects during periods of slow shipping and receiving activity. All other duties as assigned. Expectations Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and typing ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of QAD. Ability to organize and prioritize. Forklift license or ability to obtain license within 14 days of assignment. Ability to do basic mathematic computations. Ability to interact and contribute in a team environment, including training others, and maintaining good working relationships with other Android team members, customers, distributors, supply chain, etc., in support of quality customer service. Qualifications and Experience High school diploma
Years of Experience:
1+ years in a manufacturing environment; UPS/FedEx, QAD software experience preferred.
