In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment in a busy seafood warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and comfortable operating heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, materials handling, and order fulfillment while contributing to smooth and accurate shipping operations. Responsibilities Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick and process customer orders, along with the ability to read purchase orders. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking and packing tasks with attention to detail to ensure correct items are shipped on time. Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy. Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products according to warehouse standards and ensuring proper storage practices, FIFO. Conduct quality control checks on picked items to meet company standards for order accuracy and product integrity. Support warehouse distribution operations by loading and unloading trucks, handling heavy lifting, and ensuring safe materials handling procedures are followed. Skills Experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment is essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners used for order picking and inventory control. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required. Strong knowledge of materials handling, shipping & receiving processes, and order fulfillment procedures. Mechanical aptitude for understanding equipment operation and troubleshooting issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking & packing. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure efficient workflow.
