Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse and Shipping Coordinator to join our growing small manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will manage daily warehouse operations, coordinate outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure efficient material flow to support production. This is a key position that directly impacts on-time delivery and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Shipping & Logistics:
Prepare and process all domestic and international shipments using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight carriers. Create shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin. Coordinate with carriers for pickups and resolve shipping issues or delays. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and hazardous material requirements (if applicable).
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
Receive, inspect, and put away incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods. Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or ERP system. Perform cycle counts and physical inventories on a regular schedule. Organize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and safety.
Production Support:
Pull and stage materials for manufacturing jobs according to production schedules. Track and report on material usage and low-stock items. Assist with kitting and assembly preparation when needed.
Quality & Compliance:
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies. Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse following 5S principles. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Administrative:
Update customer orders and shipment tracking in the company system. Generate reports on shipping volumes, on-time performance, and inventory accuracy. Communicate effectively with production, sales, and customer service teams. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred) 2+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping, or logistics (manufacturing environment strongly preferred) Experience with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx, etc.) and ERP/Inventory systems Forklift certification (or ability to become certified within 30 days) Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Excellent organizational and time management skills Must be able to work independently in a small-team environment Preferred Skills Familiarity with international shipping and customs documentation Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Working hours: M-TH 6am-4:30pm Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) plan with company match Opportunity to wear multiple hats and grow with a small, dynamic company Stable, family-oriented work environment
