Novi, MI About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Planning Coordinator to support the efficient operation of our fleet by planning, scheduling, and coordinating all preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This role ensures downtime is minimized, regulatory requirements are met, and assets remain safe, reliable, and fully operational. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize the fleet's preventive maintenance schedule. Track equipment status, maintenance histories, and upcoming service requirements. Create work orders, review job notes, and ensure timely closure of maintenance records. Monitor warranty status and coordinate warranty repairs with vendors. Communicate daily with operations to plan unit availability and minimize service disruptions. Maintain accurate inventory and coordinate parts orders with the parts department. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. Generate maintenance KPI reports (downtime, PM compliance, repair costs, etc.). Support fleet audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

2+ years experience in fleet maintenance, service coordination, or similar role. Strong knowledge of vehicle/equipment maintenance processes. Proficiency with CMMS or fleet management systems, Fleetio experience preferred Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

Preferred:

ASE certifications or technical training. Knowledge of

DOT/FMCSA
