Full Job Description Mission Statement:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and on-time shipping and receiving activities. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse personnel, supports production requirements, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations including outbound shipping, inbound receiving, staging, inventory movement, and cycle counts. Lead and coach a warehouse team to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all warehouse functions. Coordinate with the production team to stage and deliver components and materials needed for manufacturing each day. Perform daily cycle counts and manage inventory integrity using our Warehouse Management System (WMS). Implement and manage tools like barcode systems and scan guns to modernize and streamline operations. Manage special warehouse improvement projects from planning to execution. Communicate cross-functionally with purchasing, production, planning, and customer service to keep operations aligned. Operate forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, to assist with staging, shipping, and receiving when needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment. Qualifications Proven experience managing a team, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Proficiency in warehouse systems and experience with inventory management software (WMS preferred). Familiarity with scan gun/barcode systems and a passion for process improvement. Ability to operate forklifts (sit-down and stand-up); certification is a plus or willingness to become certified. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with other departments and lead a team. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management abilities. Self-starter with a "get-it-done" attitude who's comfortable jumping in where needed. Experience 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
