Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Fleet Safety Coordinator to lead our safety initiatives across our transportation fleet. In this role, you will oversee safety compliance, repair and maintenance, and reporting to ensure our fleet operates securely and in accordance with industry standards. Responsibilities Implement, coordinate, and monitor fleet safety policies aligned with DOT regulations and industry best practices. Review DOT Driver Hours of Service ensuring accurate log certifications Review daily DVIR submissions and create work orders Schedule trucks for preventative maintenance Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across the transportation fleet to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Oversee regulatory reporting requirements related to fleet operations, accidents, and safety incidents. Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed report writing, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks. Manage training programs on safety protocols and transportation management practices. Qualifications Proven experience in fleet management, transportation management, or logistics with a focus on safety oversight. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to analyze data for reporting purposes. Familiarity with risk management strategies and compliance management tools within the transportation sector. Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate safety expectations clearly.
