Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for managing and supporting shipping and receiving activities which contributes to "on time delivery" and ensure the company will meet daily customer orders and satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of five years working in a manufacturing warehouse environment. Experience with utilizing an ERP system. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead and train the employees engaged in the shipping and receiving; responsibilities include interviewing, making hiring recommendations; planning, scheduling, and assigning work; checking and approving work; instructing and training in work methods; and conducting performance evaluations. Ensure the team is assembling packaging materials and packing customer orders per instructions, in preparation for shipment. Assist with packaged outgoing orders for delivery according to common carrier requirements for domestic or international shipping. Complete daily and weekly logistical tasks and participate in meetings as needed. Conduct daily huddle meetings with the team and other Leads. Direct all materials to receive and store, as well as stock and restock items in their proper locations as needed. Assist in evaluating new package materials and systems. Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of complete orders. Collaborate with other managers, leads and departments to optimize processes. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies. Responsible for acting as the forklift certification trainer for all applicable employees. Operate and inspect material handling equipment in a safe manner; to include usage of a daily inspection checklist to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition. Approve all paid time off in the HRIS. Able to operate the company truck to transport parts/products between other locations such as North and Macro. Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management.

Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
