Job Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise Shipping Department. This includes work direction, discipline, and evaluation of direct subordinates according to company policy and applicable laws.
Purpose:
Prepare product and paperwork for shipping both domestic and international, to include: picking, staging, packing slips, barcodes and loading of trucks. Schedule and outbound trucks.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program Oversee Shipping Department Prepares documentation and coordinates logistics for product shipment Completes shipping transactions in appropriate systems to include TEAM's MRP, UPS, Fed Ex, etc. Generate shipping output documents as required Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request Schedules and coordinates both domestic and international shipments per shipping requirements Schedule all trucks, inbound and outbound - Coordinate the shipping of freight by contacting appropriate freight carriers Ensures correct shipment of all orders, both domestic and international Identify and document work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow Effectively lead cross-functional root cause and corrective actions to resolve customer -related shipping issues Communicates status of shipping activities to appropriate personnel Issue written and oral instructions Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures Assist employees with work process problems Order and maintain shipping supplies Manage finished goods area Assist Quality with finished goods sorting Coordinate dunnage storage Maintain an environment that is always safe, clean, and organized by utilizing our 5-S system Conduct employee performance evaluation/counseling reports as required Promote safety at all times Promote TEAM Industries Standards of Business conduct Continuously look for ways to improve out processes and procedures to improve quality, labor efficiencies, safety, and operating expenses Audit Finished Goods, Run finished goods report daily and verify counts Paperwork for shipping (mode of Trans, PS, etc.) Schedule all trucks, inbound and outbound Prepare and stage all product leaving TEAM Detroit Lakes Package and process UPS shipments Track customer owned packaging Communicate with various departments to review customer requirements Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on
TEAM QMS
objectives Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred; Three to Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and knowledge/use of UPS, fedEx software systems
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Maintain understanding of international shipping requirements and stay abreast of any changes involving shipping product internationally Excellent documentation, writing, organization, attention to detail and communication skills Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing development projects Capable of managing high pressure, short timelines and willingness to be flexible Must be self-motivated Must follow all safety procedures Must be experienced and/or trained to operate forklift Possess working knowledge of
