Position Summary The Warehouse Supervisor is a working leader responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of warehouse team members and internal truck drivers. This role ensures efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures while actively supporting the team in daily operations. The Warehouse Supervisor provides direction, coaching, and accountability but does not serve as a senior management position. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in coordinating workflow, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting DOT compliance and fleet care, and upholding a strong culture of employee safety and food defense. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to lead by example, support productivity goals, and foster a positive and fair work environment. Duties and Responsibilities Daily Operations Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including storage, inventory movement, and customer order fulfillment. Provide direction and feedback to staff to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout. Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and ensure transfers are picked, scanned, and shipped on time. Team Supervision Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet performance expectations. Provide coaching and regular feedback to team members, including internal truck drivers. Assign daily tasks, adjust coverage as needed, and ensure smooth shift operations. Support performance evaluations and goal-setting in partnership with management. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce safety practices, including proper equipment use and safe material handling. Conduct regular safety and food defense checks to maintain a hazard-free work environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and industry standards. Continuous Improvement Support Identify opportunities to improve daily processes and recommend solutions to management. Support cost-saving measures, track KPIs, and share feedback to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with management on warehouse projects and initiatives. Inventory Control Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root-cause analysis. Use WMS and other tools to track and monitor product movement. Participate in monthly inventory counts and reconciliation. Qualifications/Skills High School Diploma or GED required; degree/certification in related field preferred (or 5+ years warehouse experience in lieu). Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in warehouse/distribution. Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on approach. Proficiency with WMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of DOT compliance, Geotab, safety practices, and warehouse operations. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Forklift certification required. Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and performing manual tasks as needed.Job Type:
