Full Job Description Description:
Purpose The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shipping & receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely shipments, maintaining inventory of finished goods & raw materials, and leading warehouse personnel to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role provides hands-on leadership within the warehouse while supporting operational efficiency, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Scope and Responsibilities Oversees the daily shipment of goods produced to customers while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery. Supervises and coordinates warehouse personnel, including assigning daily work, monitoring productivity, and providing coaching and support. Oversees receiving operations for packaged raw materials and bulk tanker offloading to ensure safe, accurate, and timely handling of incoming materials. Coordinates and oversees movement of materials between buildings and operational areas to support production and inventory needs. Oversees the movement of trailers in and out of shipping docks and staging areas, including future company-owned truck/trailer operations if applicable. Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials to appropriate departments or areas as needed. Operates stretch wrap banders and other shipping equipment safely and effectively. Enforces FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices to ensure proper stock rotation and shipment of the oldest available lot inventory. Performs and oversees computer functions necessary to track shipments, purchase orders, inventory, and related documentation. Investigates and resolves shipping/receiving discrepancies, damaged goods, or other shipment/receipt-related issues. Maintains shipping records and ensures compliance with company procedures and customer requirements. Leads efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while enforcing safety procedures and company policies. Assists with training new employees and cross-training team members within the department. Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping efficiency, inventory control (including routine cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods), and workplace organization.
Requirements:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. (In lieu of degree requirement, may accept two years of additional manufacturing/lead experience as a trade-off.) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes. 3 years of prior supervisory/lead experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience/ proficiency with ERP systems Experience in warehousing and logistics Forklift/ industrial vehicles
