Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily warehouse and supply chain operations, including receiving, inventory control, material movement, shipping, and documentation. This role provides direct supervision to supply chain employees and is accountable for work assignment, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy and applicable employment laws. The Supply Chain Supervisor plans and coordinates work activities to meet operational, safety, quality, and productivity goals. This position utilizes warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and performance metrics to monitor operations, drive continuous improvement, and support Open-Book Management by linking supply chain performance to business and financial results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Enforce safety rules, regulations, and company policies; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed. Interpret transportation or tariff regulations, shipping orders, safety regulations, or company policies and procedures for workers. Resolve employee, operational, and transportation-related issues through direct intervention or escalation as appropriate. Confer with customers, supervisors, contractors, or other personnel to exchange information or to resolve problems. Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations or production goals. Supervise supply chain employees, including hiring recommendations, training and development, performance management, and disciplinary action in alignment with company policy and applicable employment regulations. Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Direct material handling or moving activities. Explain regulations, policies, or procedures. Plan work operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, suppliers, and internal stakeholders through written, verbal, and electronic methods to support coordination and execution. Actively lead and support the principles of Open-Book Management by understanding supply chain financial drivers, sharing performance metrics, and helping employees understand the impact of supply chain decisions on company results and overall business performance. Employees may perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. The frequency and duration of the duties described may vary based on production needs, equipment condition, and workflow requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience One (1) year of experience with MRP/ERP systems Two (2) years of experience in a leadership position with responsibility for directing employees or operations. Three years of experience in a supply chain role Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with employees, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
PREFERRED SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, business administration, quality management, or a closely related discipline Certification in related discipline, such as CPM or equivalent Knowledge of NAFTA and trade considerations Five years of experience with production scheduling, warehousing, and inventory control. Ongoing professional development through trade journals, company publications, trade shows, conferences, plant tours, and formal education.

Anti-Harassment First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens Emergency Action Plan (EAP)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all QMS (Quality Management System) guidelines and regulations are followed Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and continuous quality improvement objectives Maintain a positive attitude and promote a professional, respectful, and accountable work environment.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a controlled environment with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures for short periods. Must follow, have knowledge of, and promote Hazard Communication (Haz/Com) regulations is required. All safety standards and personal protective equipment requirements must be followed in designated areas including safety-toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.
Physical Demands:
Standing/Walking approximately 95 percent and sitting approximately 5 percent. Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling materials weighing up to 50 pounds is required. While performing the duties of this role, the employee regularly walks, stands, uses hands and fingers, reaches with hands and arms, climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and communicates verbally.
