Dock Supervisor

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Dock Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of our dock facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and warehouse management to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all activities related to the loading and unloading of shipments
• Supervise dock workers to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols
• Oversee inventory control, including receiving, storing, and organizing goods
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in dock operations
• Collaborate with transportation teams to schedule deliveries and optimize routes
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance

Skills:

• Experience in NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations
• Proficiency in production planning and procurement processes
• Strong knowledge of logistics, demand planning, and warehouse operations
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) for efficient routing
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment
• Skilled in order fulfillment processes and warehouse supervision

Shift:

Friday thru Sunday, 5am

• 7pm or Monday thru Friday, 5am
• 4pm (these shift options to be discussed with candidates as part of the interview process.
