Job Description

TRANSPORTATION DISTRIBUTION AND LOGISTICS CTE PROGRAM SUPERVISOR OFFICE OF CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Salary Range:
$50.00 HOURLY RATE Salary will be negotiable and commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is currently seeking a Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Program Supervisor for the Office of Career and Technical Education (CTE) that will work to provide monitoring and technical assistance for the CTE Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Pathway. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with oversight of the Automotive programs across the state.
  • Serving as a mentor for first year Automotive Teachers.
  • Assisting with planning, scheduling, and conducting professional development opportunities for Automotive teachers.
  • Serving as a point of contact for questions and problems from Automotive teachers and CTE Directors.
  • Reviewing and writing curriculum.
  • Identifying and sharing new Automotive resources with teachers and CTE programs.
  • Providing practical direction on classroom management and program organization.
  • Conducting program observations and providing technical assistance (TA) visits.
  • Assisting CTE Director of Instruction with overall program planning and objective development.
  • Assisting with the student organization events as needed.
  • Assisting with RFP/RFA evaluations as needed.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires a relevant Master's Degree and 4+ years of experience related to the duties listed above.
