Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily distribution activities, manage inventory control, and ensure seamless logistics processes. Your leadership will drive process improvements, uphold safety standards, and foster a motivated team dedicated to operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence warehouse efficiency, optimize materials handling, and support our commitment to exceptional service delivery. Responsibilities Supervise warehouse distribution activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to meet operational goals. Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and workflow productivity. Operate forklifts and mechanical equipment safely for heavy lifting and materials movement while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct regular audits of inventory accuracy, shipping & receiving documentation, and warehouse layout for continuous improvement initiatives. Manage low stock/no stock situations, raw materials and/or finished goods. On-going maintenance of warehouse stock locators, physical and system as well as maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse. Arrange any off-shift shipments required for raw material to support production requirements and/or finished goods to support customer requirements. Experience Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Extensive knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, logistics, and materials handling processes. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other inventory control tools. Demonstrated ability in team management, including training staff on safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Mechanical aptitude with forklift certification preferred; experience operating heavy machinery required. Develop and maintain standardized work for material handling processes. Ensure proper warehousing storage principles/FIFO practices are being followed. Understands all shipping and receiving functionality, inclusive of barcoding, scanning processes, manual back-up system, paperwork generation, and transmission, customs clearance - all encompassing. Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes and 3PL logistics environments is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to implement process improvements that boost efficiency and safety. QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree or college diploma preferred
  • Minimum 3 years supervision experience in a synchronized, lean manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the warehousing principles, materials management, customer/supplier release schedules, and inventory control principles
  • Understanding of Kaizen philosophy and 5S processes.
  • Competency and awareness of duties and responsibilities outlined by OHSA
  • Understand technical information received or issued by / to the internal/external customer or supplier e.g. material specifications, testing methods, schedules, etc
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and writing
  • Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office products are an asset
  • Lift truck/forklift experience
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
