Warehouse Supervisor General Summary:
The purpose of the Warehouse Team Lead (Outbound) role is to coordinate the efficient flow of goods and services, embodying qualities such as dependability, adaptability, and humility. By focusing on teamwork and customer commitment, this position ensures accurate, timely, and professional handling of warehouse operations to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. This position focuses on the outbound operations activities within the warehouse and is fully responsible for ensuring all shipments for the day are accurately picked, packed, and processed.
JOB DUTIES
The Outbound Warehouse Team Lead will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the warehouse.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating all outbound shipments ensuring timely and accurate delivery Leading a team of 4-6 warehouse operators Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems (training provided if necessary). Maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks. Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe work environment. Coordinate the timely offloading of all inbound deliveries. Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards. Collaborating with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines. Proactively look for ways to improve the outbound department. Work with the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor on special projects Working alongside other department team leads to execute high priority tasks for the day Accurately track and log discrepancies with outbound shipments
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years or older Knowledge of intermediate math skills Proven expert experience with heavy machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrapper, etc.) Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure Ability to pass a drug test Ability to read and write in English (bilingual is a plus but not required) Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) Expert experience with WMS systems (barcode scanning and packing in a system) 2+ years of warehouse experience in a leadership role or 4+ years of experience in any warehouse position
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing job duties, the operator is exposed to a warehouse environment including moving vehicles, exposure to temperature changes based on the season, and loud noises. The operator will need to be capable of performing the below physical activities on a daily basis: Able to lift 30-50 lbs Able to stand for long periods of time Able to move around the facility freely Able to reach, stoop, crouch, or kneel throughout the shift to pick items and pack them Comfortable with heights Able to withstand hot/cold environments
