Warehouse Lead in Durham, NCSchedule:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Summary Join our team in Durham, NC, a vibrant city known for its rich history, diverse culture, and thriving economy. You will play a crucial role in leading and motivating a team to achieve warehouse objectives. This position offers the opportunity to enhance your career in RMA Manufacturing by coordinating activities, monitoring workflow, and maintaining a safe work environment in line with company standards and production goals. Responsibilities Lead and motivate a team to complete warehouse activities, including picking parts for production needs, compliance, shipping, receiving, inventory, sorting, scrap, and cycle counting. Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals. Provide recommendations on process improvements and assist with implementation. Review incoming material orders and pick tickets. Place materials on order picker, pallet jack, or forklift. Lead delivery items to the proper loading area or delivery truck. Unload trucks and stock inventory. Ensure the team's daily tasks are communicated to the next shift for uncompleted tasks or urgent needs. Maintain attendance records for the team. Lead and direct warehouse operators to ensure consistent workflow and timely completion of production targets. Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and implement improvements to maximize productivity and product quality. Ensure compliance by enforcing safety standards, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Onboard new employees and cross-train team members to promote flexibility and skills enhancement. Troubleshoot issues by identifying and resolving production problems or equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime. Supervise a team while prioritizing policies, strategic objectives, and organizational goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or 4-year degree preferred. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs; must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and quality assurance focus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of assembly processes and production line best practices. Proficiency in enforcing and following SOPs. Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, analysis, and reporting.
