Position Purpose:
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for maintaining the flow of products from receipt to shipment, ensuring that materials are well organized and ready for movement and use. With the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Team Lead will maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring the timely fulfillment of orders, and upholding safety standards. Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities: Lead, coordinate and prioritize the operations tasks directed by the supervisor Communicate and execute work assignments to meet set expectations by department and customer requirements Communicate with and perform as an assistant for all staff and departments such as the supervisors, support staff, leadership, and front-line employees Communicate with customers and their needs Prepare duty-related paperwork Escalate work-related and interpersonal issues to leadership as needed Perform quality checks and report failures to supervisor. Assist and coordinate training for new and current associates Supervise employees to ensure they are following Safety and Quality processes and regulations Be a resource for Safety, QA and Company processes and procedures Handle any minor tasks related to duties of the position or as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required Six months material handling equipment/forklift experience preferred Experience in leading, supervising and training associates preferred Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems preferred Experience with the refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment preferred Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred Experience following safety procedures preferred Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes potential overtime, weekends and different work schedules Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English language Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions This is largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally. This role operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (between 38 and -20 degrees Fahrenheit) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production-type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for duration of shift.
