They also are responsible for processing supply requisitions, preparing merchandise for delivery, and coordinating with various parties to oversee warehouse activities. Additionally, maintaining records, operating warehouse equipment, planning operations, and managing inventory are key responsibilities. Essential Responsibilities Receives, identifies, marks and places material sent to the warehouse according to established compliance with all company policies and procedures. Processes requisitions for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures. Establishes and maintains effective storekeeping procedures. Coordinates with various personnel, departments, vendors, and others to provide and receive information, resolves questions and issues, and oversees warehouse activities. Maintains and records warehouse documents, files, and reports of stock. Operates a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles; utilize a variety of hand tools as required. Arranges for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed. Works with Supervisor to plan and oversee the warehouse operations and activities. Assists with training and developing team on operations and filling, shipping, and stocking supplies while coordinate the schedules and activities of assigned personnel. Process reports and forms and maintains inventory of warehouse materials as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications (Required) High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required and two years increasingly responsible experience in a warehouse facility. Warehousing and storekeeping procedures including shipping, receiving, and issuing materials, proper and orderly storage, optimum space utilization and stock inventory procedures. Proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, UPS WorldShip, and prior experience with a fully integrated ERP system. Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change. Established ability to multitask, strong conflict resolution skills, and willingness to work collaboratively as a team. Capacity to communicate efficiently with all levels of employees, management, customers, and vendors both verbally and in written form. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree Prior experience in a distribution or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of product inventory and profiles as well as the warehouse layout and operations Travel Requirements No travel is required Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust. Ability to operate a stand-up reach truck and sit-down lift truck. Ability to operate a delivery vehicle up to 26 foot in length and a GVWR of up to 26,000 pounds. 100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp. 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception. 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment. 10: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting. Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
