This pivotal role involves managing warehouse distribution, inventory control, and shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics systems. Your leadership will directly contribute to optimizing warehouse efficiency, enhancing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Responsibilities Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety protocols. Coordinate warehouse distribution efforts, optimizing inventory management and materials handling procedures. Oversee inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to maintain accurate stock levels. Lead team management initiatives, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations for warehouse staff. Implement process improvements to streamline shipping workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and promote a safe working environment. Manage heavy lifting operations utilizing forklifts and mechanical knowledge to handle materials safely. Oversee logistics coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure seamless transportation. Monitor shipping & receiving schedules, troubleshoot issues promptly, and communicate effectively with internal departments. Maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory movements, and warehouse activities for audit readiness. Experience Proven experience as a Shipping Supervisor experience. or in a similar warehouse management role within a fast-paced environment. Minimum 3 years of prior supervisory experience Extensive knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, and materials handling techniques . Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment safely. Must be forklift certified. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and logistics software such as 3PL platforms. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehousing operations. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities. Background in e-commerce fulfillment or heavy shipping & receiving environments is preferred. Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
